“How tooth ache saved Paint-And-Draw.com”

by Michael on September 23, 2011

Earlier in the year Paint-And-Draw.com was completely rebuilt. It needed it. I had lost the plot and didn’t know how to make it interesting to art beginners. True, there was the simplest and easiest way to learn how to start painting with watercolors and a few other bits… but that was never going to be enough.

Does this picture sound familiar to you? It might sum up how you feel about your drawing and painting.

And there‘s more… As I write this re-launch note it is glaringly obvious that there is plenty of work ahead. You will no doubt recognize the reasons… too many other things to do…

  • You need to work to earn money
  • There is the housework
  • Children to look after
  • Food to buy and cook

The list is endless. Like you, I seemed to have far too many things to do. So, I asked for help and paid for the website to be rebuilt. I’m pleased with the result so far. The experts have done a great job but it isn’t finished. And, guess what… they are busy on other projects and it will take more time before everything will be in place.

You can imagine the frustration. It has taken over a year to get to this stage. Not only that but it took weeks before I managed to find time to call them to discuss improvements because of other work. And then, when I’ve been available to talk, they were someplace else hard at work .

The key lesson learned is that I must take take control, expecting the same kind of difficulties you will find learning to draw and paint. The simple truth is that your art destiny is in your own hands alone in the same way that this website is my responsibility. No matter how many experts you ask for help from… Ultimately it is you who must work to guarantee your success.

Fortunately, during the few days I had at home suffering with jaw ache from a tooth abscess I managed to speak with the website specialist and the day was saved. I wasn’t pleased, to say the least, about the bad tooth pain or website progress. The result was that we agreed it was time I took control.

This is my first chance to get involved. With their help and encouragement and whatever time they can give I am determined to keep moving forward. It isn’t a perfect situation but it is the best that can be under the circumstances.

Imagine how I feel now… I feel great! Minor success maybe, but the toothache has now gone and I can speak with you about what is important…

“How you can learn to paint and draw and become an artist in ways you want to be”

Things still aren’t perfect and there are plenty of other things to do. This is the way it is. Surprisingly, from an artist’s point of view, this is exactly what makes the challenge worthwhile. The extra struggle and hard work will add interest and value to your artwork.

Yes, it hurts at times when things go wrong… And when they do you will no doubt consider giving in. Please don’t, I’ll do my best to help encourage you.

Well, the tooth ache has gone and is forgotten now. Yet, art and design are always there to brighten your day and take imagination to places only dreamed of.
